Pregnancy and Baby Co. – C-Section Silicone Scar Strips
Healing after a C-section doesn’t have to be complicated. Our medical-grade Silicone Scar Strips are designed to give mums a simple, effective, and comfortable way to support scar recovery—so you can focus on what matters most, your baby.
What’s Included
-
6 reusable silicone scar sheets – thick, durable, and made for repeated use, while still being soft and flexible for daily comfort.
-
Protective storage case – to keep your strips hygienic between washes.
-
Pregnancy & Baby Co. zip pouch – holds all 6 strips and the case, so everything stays neat and ready to use.
Each strip lasts 1-2 weeks with proper care. They can be gently washed with warm water and reused, and because the silicone is compressed into the strip itself, it won’t wash away.
Why Silicone Scar Strips?
Silicone is the gold standard in scar management, trusted by doctors worldwide. Our strips work by:
-
Hydrating & softening the scar – locking in moisture to keep the tissue supple.
-
Flattening & reducing discolouration – helping scars blend more naturally with the skin.
-
Protecting against irritation – creating a barrier between your scar and clothing, movement, or accidental bumps.
-
Easing discomfort – reducing common symptoms such as itching, redness, and tightness.
Simple “Set & Forget” Healing
Designed with busy mums in mind, these strips are discreet under clothing, gentle on the skin, and easy to apply. Once in place, they work quietly in the background—no mess, no hassle, just consistent scar care you can trust.
Important Note: Please check with your GP or obstetrician at your postpartum check-up before starting silicone products. Your wound should be fully closed—this is usually around 4–6 weeks after the birth of your baby.
Thick, durable, and reusable—our Silicone Scar Strips are built to last, giving you reliable scar recovery day after day.

When can I start using the silicone strips?
Begin only once your GP or obstetrician confirms the wound is fully closed with no open areas or scabs, typically around 4 to 6 weeks after surgery. Never apply silicone strips to an open or unhealed wound.
What does TGA-registered mean for these strips?
These strips are listed on the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods (ARTG 519747) as a Medical Device Class 1, approved for the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. The TGA is Australia's government therapeutic goods regulator. This listing means the strips have been formally assessed for their stated therapeutic purpose. You can verify this registration yourself at tga.gov.au.
How long should I wear the strips each day?
Wear the strips for 12 to 24 hours daily, removing briefly to wash both the scar area and the strip. The strips are designed for comfortable extended wear, including under clothing.
How long should I use the strips for?
For best results, use consistently for a minimum of 2 to 3 months. Women with a higher risk of keloid scarring (darker skin tones, personal or family history of keloids) may benefit from continuing for up to 6 months. Consistency is more important than duration: daily use over months delivers meaningful results.
I have darker skin and am worried about keloid scarring. Are these strips appropriate?
Yes. Keloid scarring is more prevalent in women with darker skin tones (Fitzpatrick III to VI). The silicone strips are TGA-registered specifically for the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. If you have a personal or family history of keloid scarring, we recommend speaking with your obstetrician before your wound closes, so scar care can begin as soon as healing is confirmed.
How do I use the strips with the scar gel?
The strips are the primary scar management tool and sit directly on the main body of the scar. The scar gel is applied to areas where strips cannot sit flat: near the ends of the scar, under waistbands, or on curved areas. Silicone gel is recommended twice a day for 6 months for preventing keloid scarring in at risk skin. Use both together for complete scar coverage. The Complete C-Section Healing Kit includes both products plus the massage roller and saves $21.
