Pregnancy and Baby Co. – C-Section Silicone Scar Healing Kit
Healing after a caesarean is a big part of your post-birth journey. Our C-Section Silicone Scar Healing Kit is designed to make that process easier, safer, and more effective with a complete set of tools that work together to support your recovery.
It also makes the ultimate Baby Shower Gift or Birth Gift when you know a mum has had a caesarean. While most gifts focus on the baby, this thoughtful kit focuses on the mother—supporting her comfort, confidence, and healing so she can enjoy those precious first moments with her newborn.
What’s Inside the Kit
-
6 reusable medical-grade silicone scar strips – flexible, soft, and breathable, providing a protective layer over your scar. Each strip shields your scar from clothing rubbing, pulling when you move, or even little bumps from your baby. Silicone also locks in hydration, flattens and softens the scar, and reduces redness and itching.
-
Protective pouch & washing case – to keep your strips hygienic and safe between uses, without leaving them on the bathroom bench where they may gather bacteria.
-
Silicone scar gel – recommended for use after finishing your course with the strips. The gel continues your healing by hydrating scar tissue, softening its appearance, and helping fade the scar over time. It’s perfect for areas that are harder to cover with strips.
-
Massage roller – designed for gentle massage over the strips and later with the gel. Massage helps increase circulation to the scar, reduce tightness, and break down underlying scar tissue for a smoother result.
Why This Kit Helps with Healing
-
Scar Strips Protect & Heal – They not only reduce scar thickness and discolouration but also create a physical shield, giving you confidence to move freely during recovery.
-
Scar Gel Maintains Results – Once your scar is more stable, the gel provides long-term hydration and continued improvement in softness and visibility.
-
Massage Roller Enhances Recovery – This gentle tool helps to boost circulation, ease tightness, and soften scar tissue for smoother healing. Because C-section scars are often very tender to touch, using the roller over our Silicone Scar Sheets lets you start massage earlier and with more comfort. As recovery progresses, you can also use it with our Silicone Scar Gel to enhance absorption and further support healing.
Why Silicone?
Silicone is the gold standard in scar management, trusted by doctors for decades. It’s clinically proven to:
-
Flatten and soften raised scars
-
Reduce redness, itchiness, and discomfort
-
Create the ideal healing environment by locking in moisture
-
Be safe for sensitive postpartum skin
✨ Your complete scar-care solution, from protection to long-term healing.
⚕️ Important Note: Only use once your wound is fully closed (typically 4–6 weeks after birth). Please check with your GP or obstetrician at your postpartum check-up before starting silicone products.
6 Medical-Grade Silicone Scar Strips + Protective Pouch + Washing Case
TGA-registered Medical Device Class 1, ARTG 519747. Flexible, self-adhesive strips applied directly to the scar once the wound is fully closed. Wear for 12 to 24 hours daily. Replace when the strip no longer adheres properly.
Silicone Scar Gel (50ml): Phase 2
Medical-grade silicone with Centella Asiatica (Gotu Kola), Aloe Vera, and Vitamin E. Apply a thin layer twice daily to the scar, particularly on areas where strips cannot sit flat: near the ends of the scar, under waistbands, or on areas with movement. Allow to dry before dressing. Published studies have shown a reduction in keloid scarring with a 6 months daily use of topical silicone products.
Massage Roller: Phase 3
A gentle manual roller for scar massage. Use over the silicone strips from approximately 6 weeks, progressing to direct application with the gel as recovery advances. Massaging over the silicone strip reduced skin contamination that can result from manual handling.
IMPORTANT: Only begin scar care once your wound is fully closed, typically 4 to 6 weeks postpartum, and following clearance from your GP or obstetrician. Do not apply any product to an open or unclosed wound.

When can I start using the C-Section Healing Kit?
Begin only once your wound is fully closed and your GP or obstetrician has confirmed it is safe to start scar care. This is typically around 4 to 6 weeks postpartum. Do not begin any scar product before the wound has healed completely.
What is ARTG 519747 and why does it matter?
ARTG 519747 is the Australian Register of Therapeutic Goods listing number for the silicone scar strips included in this kit. The TGA is the Australian Government's regulatory authority for therapeutic goods. This registration confirms that the strips have been formally assessed for the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. You can verify this registration at tga.gov.au. It is a regulatory fact, not a marketing claim.
Can I use the kit if I am breastfeeding?
Yes. All components of the kit, including the scar gel and silicone strips, are safe for topical use during breastfeeding. The products are applied to the lower abdominal scar area only.
How is the kit different from buying the three products separately?
The kit includes all three components (silicone strips, scar gel, and massage roller) at $130, saving $21 compared with buying them individually at a combined total of $151. The kit also comes presented together, making it a complete ready-to-use system and a thoughtful gift for anyone recovering from a caesarean.
What is the correct order to use the three components?
The silicone strips are the primary scar management tool, applied directly to the scar from wound closure. The scar gel is applied alongside the strips to areas the strips cannot cover, and as a standalone treatment after the use of strips as recovery progresses. The massage roller adds gentle mechanical stimulation over the strips from approximately 6 weeks, progressing to direct use with the gel. The three components work in phases, not all at once from day one
I have a family history of keloid scarring. Is the kit still appropriate?
Yes. The silicone strips in this kit are specifically TGA-registered for the management of hypertrophic and keloid scars. If you have a personal or family history of keloid scarring, we recommend raising this with your obstetrician after your wound closes from 4 weeks so that scar care can begin as early as possible once healing is confirmed. Use of topical silicone products for at least 6 months is recommended for preventing keloid scarring.
